Formerly known as the London Animation Studio, the Pg Dip Character Animation at Central Saint Martins was established in 1998 by the Guild of British Animators.
*New* MA Character Animation
Subject to validation, from 2011 we will be offering a new Masters in Character Animation. This will be offered in our brand new building in Kings Cross, which is currently being built beside the Eurostar international train terminal. More information about this two-year Masters in Character Animation will be announced shortly.
New Professor of Character Animation

Central Saint Martins has awarded the honorary title of Professor to Shelley Page of Dreamworks in recognition of her long-standing achievements in the field of animation.
Professor Page will be advising the Character Animation course on curriculum development. Originally trained in the UK as an illustrator, Professor Page then joined the Richard Williams animation studio in 1982 as a background artist. Her film credits include: ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’, ‘An American Tail: Fievel Goes West ‘, ‘Antz’ and ‘Shrek’. |
Character Animation Course at Adobe MAX LA

After doing a marketing case study on the course, Adobe were so impressed by the quality of the work produced, that Course Director, Birgitta Hosea, was flown over to Los Angeles to give an hour-long presentation on the Pg Dip Character Animation.
